I hate the way in singleplayer the bots can see a lone sniper, lying in the grass, and they start shooting you, i guess this cant be fixed, but the thing that annoys me the most is when they call an artillery strike on you, can this be fixed?

ya, remove the arty from the map, or edit it in a way that will disable it. doing that stuff has been talked about plenty of times already, so do a search for it.

there is a way,it involves making and attaching a col0 mesh to the sniper soldier.

I'm no expert but this may help you .

"Col0 is the projectile mesh, meaning that all calculations pertaining to projectiles will be done using this mesh."

I recently noticed this effect when I made the "usatp_predator" fire AA missiles. The stinger passes through players without impacting them or causing damage. I assume,with a little digging around the "stinger" .tweak file,..That u can easily reproduce the same effect with artillery.

its to do with bots and that they can't see through the col0 mesh,so attaching some col0 polys in a specific layout would make the sniper invisible when lying down but visible when standing.

So if you make a col0 mesh in front of the snipers feet when you go prone the bots cant see you? I remember that you did something with a col0 mesh to fix the smoke grenade for bf2 didnt you?

you would want basically a box that covers the soldier while prone but also would need to cover the soldiers existing mesh.

Can it be done trough coding? Or you gotta do something about the model? Or both?

It should be farely easy to model. All though it would give the snipers a huge advantage cause they could just go prone in the middle of the street and not get shot

both a mesh and attach it to the soldier/sniper kit via effect emitter or a simpleobject.

sure, but its only bots that wouldn't be able to see you.

I can't make anything fancy tough, made a tank for Generals but have no idea how to put it in.. -.-

Anyway, I could do it myself but I need a tutorial for this.

well you said you can model so goto the hierarchy tut thread and setup your hierarchy then export it. look through the list of tutorials here. http://bfeditor.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=4538

Thanks, but I don't know what to import or whatever I'm supposed to do! I don't know where to start!! x_x
And I can model but only simple stuff and I have never putted anything into a game before...

Made a tank, worked on it for a week now. As you can see, I just started with Gmax. tongue.gif

start by reading through some of the tutorials in that link and reading through the other sections of the editor forums. there is more than enough info to get started.
