I've only imported stuff for Battlefield 1942, but it must be the same for Vietnam.

OK, importing vehicles and stuff is very easy in principle. To import means actually to copy the necesary files from one MOD to your MOD.

Let's say you want to import a tank from a mod.
Look for all the files that have something to do with that tank.
You should search these files in almost all the MOD archives (Menu - for icons, Objects.rfa - for "con" files and effect files, Sounds.rfa and Textures.rfa for sounds and textures, and so on).

One warning: sometimes the game crashes even when you imported "all the files".
That's because you have missed some files, for example some effects (effects = dust kicked up by the wheels, fire, etc).
If that's the case, look for these in the Objects.rfa.
If you can't get it to work, just remove some (or all) the effects from the Phisics.rfa and maybe from Objects.rfa and see if it works.

Make sure there are no conflicts between these new files and similar files already in your MOD.
Good luck!

To import weapons you also need to copy the animation files from the animations.rfa. You also need to tweak a few animation .con's

The debugger can help identify the missing files.
