Hi guys,
I got really bored with the instabilities and lack of official coop in BF2, so decided to reinstall BF1942 + R2R + SW over the weekend. Wow it's still a great game, been having some real fun against the bots. Now I must admit they are not as good as the bots in BF2, but still fun, especially when they outnumber you 2 to 1.
Anyway I am running the stand along dedicated server, and would like to either use some of the already great mods for COOP (realplayer or ballistik) or have a go at doing some stuff myself. Can these be used on the stand alone, or do they need modifying and will they be serverside? If so what are the main differences between editing the dedicated files and the full game?
What exactly can be edited with BF1942 and stay serverside?
Any help would be appreciated.

Basicly everything that has nothing to do with graphic and is client controled can be changed.
Some thing looks good, some things will look more or less stupid.
Aim can be changed.
Vehicles speed and control can be changed.
Alter flight ceiling for choppers.
Ad nitro to vehicles can be fun.
Dissable parashoot.
Some wepon features can be changed, force/radius/damagetype/recoil/velocity.
Replacing projectiles can be done, looks stupid if its a visible one.
Moving flags we can do.
Reduce/enlarge flag radius and cap time we can do.
Ad new vehicles we can do.
Change bots AI is no prob.
Replacing wepons in kit, but looks really stupid.
Ad healing/repair/rearm/spawnpoints to any vehicles.
Damage system can be changed.
Ticket drop can be changed.
Point system can be altered.
Giving bots new names.
Split vehicles and put there turrets out on maps we can do.
Change out of bounce is possible.
Remove out of bounce, but thats pure stupid.
Remove or ad static objects, but clients wont see it. But can work with adding a ladder to a house or so.
Edit hightmap is possible. But client wont see change just feel it. Bugfix for citymaps when ppl fall out.

and so on......
Limits are your imagination, if you can't do it this way, do it that way.
