Solution 1:
Open the texture file by Infraview with vtf plugin
Extract it with bmp format
Use Photoshop with Nvadia dds plugin to save as dds format

Solution 2:
Open the texture file by a freeware called VTFedit
Extract it with bmp format
Use Photoshop with Nvadia dds plugin to save as dds format

M.Combat
Select your object in 3ds max, go to the blue rainbow looking tab on the right side, select modifier list, choose Unwrap UVW, press edit, in the top right choose the file as a bit map and drag all the green shapes into the middle black box with the texture in making sure its lined up.

Thats how I fixed it, pretty much using the same instructions too though I do know there are tuts if you google it.

Wait till all your parts get reversed and your trigger ends up behind the player. Always fun. biggrin.gif
