Full Version: Exporting and texture problem

Well I took the liberty to export the L96A1 from Black Ops into BF2 and well this happened, I tried to re-export it applying the texture differently and no luck. It happened to me before with the Black Ops M16, however in 3ds max the render looks perfect therefore I think its a problem with the bundledmesh however I don't know specifically what. Any advice?

To me it looks like the uv map of the scope is way out of the box, open the unwrap uv tool to take a look at it and fix it if its messed up biggrin.gif

No idea how to uv wrap or anything like that. It's a pre made texture that when applied in 3ds max looks perfectly fine

Select the object that is having the texture issue and go to the modifier tab



select the drop down menu and scroll way down to select Unwrap UVW


Once the modifier is loaded just hit the Edit button to open up the following window


now you want your UV map to look like this and not like the one on the right


at least the UV map should stay inside the smaller box for it to show up correctly. I hope this helped enough.

Yet another fail of BF2. BF1942 didn't have this problem. You can have a UVmap as large as you want and not cause issue. But BF2 just pukes over it. sad.gif

1. Staticmeshes in BF2 can have large uvmaps and can exceed the 0 to 1 range in uv coordinates.
2. Clean models always should have their uvmaps within the first tile.

When I do that the texture is in the wrong place in 3ds, will it be the same for ingame?
