Two methods to go about installation.
- Full Install. [2.06 GB]
- AIX1 Patch to AIX2 [920MB]
Method 1. Full Install.
Just download these two files, and you're all set with the base install of AIX2.
The full installer comes as 2 files - one for the Core Mod and the other is the Core Maps. You need both files to play AIX 2.0.

Method 2. AIX Patch.
If you already have a copy of AIX1, download this sub-1gig file to bring your AIX1 up to date to AIX2.
Note, that for a 100% succesful patching, you MUST have a clean, unmodified, freshly installed AIX 1.0 with NOTHING else in it.

Bonus info for AIX's current development status. AIX - Where to now?
If you're playing SINGLEPLAYER ONLY, DO NOT PATCH TO 1.5.
If you're playing coop/MP, its your perogative.
Known troubles.
If you get a "Failed to load Effect: StaticMesh.fx", this is due to a failed PATCH of BF2 and is NOT the fault of AIX. Run the 1.41 patch again to fix this error.
