Full Version: 2 questions i cant seem to find an answer for...

hey guys,

have spent ages hunting for the answers to the following questions but to no avail...

first question:
how do i modify the time that a vehicle will exist on a map before exploding and respawning at its objectspawner point? i can find a "timetostayaswreck" entry but no sign of an entry to determine the time to stay alive.

second question:
when a mec or meinsurgent soldier picks up a us kit, they also pick up the physical equimpent such as webbing, ammo pouches and helmet... how can i prevent this so that if they pick up a us support kit they would use their native teams support kit geometry instead of picking up their opponents?

1, look in the gameplayobjects.con in the map. youll have to edit/add the line, "ObjectTemplate.TimeToLive #" for the object spawner.

2, the ammo pouches, helmet, ect are part of the kit. you could remove that stuff from the kit, but then it wouldnt be there at all. even for the team the kit "belongs" to.

1. ahhh its in the gameplayobjects.con! that makes sense! lol thanks bud!

2. so how comes when the us pick up a mec kit the us team still wear their original us helmet and pouches and not the mec teams? - to be fair i have only noticed this happen in the editor and havent seen it on a map, whether it is just an editor glitch im not sure.

also, on the point of kit equipment, is there a way to mix and match what equipment a unit carries for example if i wanted to give the engineer a helmet or the specops hat instead of the fishing hat but still keep his original burgan and pouches?

no,the kits are in sets,there individual items cant be swapped.
