In each sound file defined in the .tweak, there's
CODE
ObjectTemplate.lowSamples 2147483647
ObjectTemplate.mediumSamples 2147483647
.
And they differ for each sound. What are those, how are they generated/calculated and how does it affect the sound in-game?

Just guessing so don't quote me on this...

My first guess is for varying sound settings, probably based on an individual user's settings in the options menu (High/Medium/Low quality).

Sorry for the quote, hehehe - but you're all correct.
Medium is for the 22kHz samples and low for 11kHz samples. High corresponds to the usual 44kHz.
