Zoom optics for tanks

I am trying to impliment zoom optics for the various tanks in bf2, so I copied text from a sniper rifle with variable zoom, and pasted the defaultzoomcomp in the tanks' tweak files. The problem is that I can't zoom in because the right mouse button is linked to the machine gun. Any way to specify another key for the game to use for the zooming ability? Any help is appreciated.

Here you can look in the tweak file from our Leopard 2A6, how i implemented the zoom. But you have to remember that our tanks have 2 types of ammunition for the 120mm cannon.

You can add a zoom with different ways. Depends on your final goals of your mod.

DaWallace gave you the excample, where you can use the zoom with the rightmouseButton (PiAltFire). The machine gun got changed to an selectable weapon and not as secondary. The zoom iss added to the smokelauncher.

Disadvantage is, when you use the MG you must switch. Switching back could cost to much time because of switching and maybe a startup time of the different weapons.
Killing infantry with the MG and encountering an enemy tank that comes around the corner could end in a death because you lose atleast 2 seconds. Switching is also sometimes (in hectic moments) really buggy because you used mousewheel or the weaponswitch button F and tabbed it once to much.
One thing i hated in OPK but the mod is nice. Liked it much.

Another way for zoom is to abuse the camera tweak options.

When you change the redmarked numbers (at the moment i dont remember which value of the 2 codelines must be lowered) you get the zoom effect when you press the C button.

Disadvantage, you lose the 3rd player view when you sit inside because you have to deactivate the other CVM's or it get also bugged with the faked ZOOM and the chasing/flyby camera options.

You can also have a 3rd weapon that use the PIFLAREFIRE Button X but than you lose the smokelauncher or you have to add them as a selectable weapon. Depends what you want.

The Problem with the weapon use delay can be changed, as I know. But I'm not 100% sure about it. So you can set the time between switching and firing the weapon.
We has changed this time in our choppers, to prevent the seat switching from pilot to copilot gunner. If you switch the seat to the copilot you can't use the weapons for some seconds. So the chopper begins turning and rotating and it is not possible to aim enemies on the ground. Think it is useable in tanks too. Set the delay time to zero and you can fire directly after switching.
