As he lands, another man rushes over and asks, "What happened?" The fallen man exclaims, "I don't know. I just got here myself!"

QUOTE is there's any fix for client side?? there's no official client-side fix, but it depends if you play online. if you only play offline and are comfortable modifying your files, you can fix the mortar CTD by removing the recoil comp from the mortar itself (NOT the mortar deployer) the <1024 MagSize ammo bug doesn't seem to affect singleplayer if i recall correctly -------------------- ![]() |

Yeah, I just reinstalled all my BF2, AIX and map packs - went in adjusted all my stuff, went to cap a command point, got the flag to neutral, and ran like hell!!!! LMAO! To my surprise, no arty! I was like ... hmmm, maybe the next flag. So I repeated the procedure and then I knew something was way outta wack
I also noticed this FALCON crap ....? What is all this stuff anyways? I MISS MY ARTY!!! I also noticed bots in the middle of the ocean, in the weirdest places doing circles - the game isn't the same anymore! I guess DICE is still the same, and I didn't miss nothing there! I would still like to take them all and slap the crap out of each and every one of them!!! TWICE and with a PASSION! I forgot how much I hate them guys - what a bitter reminder! I hope I never meet one of them in real life - seriously! -------------------- |

QUOTE I MISS MY ARTY!!! Just stick with the tried and true BF2 ver 1.41 Velocity, and the AI commanders will be back to both answer requests from you as well as shell you. -------------------- A man falls out of a tenth-story window. Googled but didnt find a solid solution. Any way to downgrade from 1.5 to 1.41 without having to completely uninstall/reinstall BF2?

Okay, have read about the problems with 1.5 and AIX but I've run into something different which I don't know if it is related to this same problem or not. AIX boots up fine to the main menu but if I try to select anything, i.e. singleplayer/coop, or anything along the top menu the game screen flashes, I hear a couple of beeps, and the entire game simply stops running and goes away. No errors or anything else. My BF2 version is 1.5.3153-802.0, updated by Steam since I switched from the disk version to the Steam version. I'm running Windows XP (up to date with patches and fixes). Can't say for sure when this started since I haven't played it in at least several months but definitely within the last year.
Thanks for any ideas, responses, or suggestions. |
