Dice has never done a WWI battlefield game. Sure we have mods for bf1942 but this will be the first for dice. It looks like they are not going to get mired in trench warfare battles but focus on the more exciting aspects of WWI combat. Thoughts? Looks like it could be a blast if done right.

To MCR,

That sniper video is really neat. Single shots are great. I wonder if you can play BF1 in an XBox 360?

Not sure but I think this title will only be available for PC/PS4/XBONE. I did a search and saw no results for last gen consoles.

Found another really awesome gameplay vid...

No modding experience required there. Just scroll down to the bottom of the map list for the WWI easter egg.

Map only appears in Co-op not SP, as usual. Or, at least, in my case. Looks like adding ZZZ doesn't always work.

And I know why but who thought it was gonna be a good idea to stop having a bot sp? Surely, making simple storyline would be easier, but do they really not know how much benefits bot sp can give?

An official BF4 test server was running bots sometime last year or so. I took it as a hopeful note that future BF titles (NOT BF4 as it's development life span is done) might see a return of MP bots.

I took that server as them testing to develop MP bots for *future* BF titles.

I suppose it is very likely that you are right. Let's all have our finger crossed.
One thing I'm certain about is that the game won't be as moddable as we want.

No MP bots I can see. MP is a blast though, takes me back to the day when WWII FPS was all the rage. smile.gif All I've played is TDM with about 11 hours played, and I really enjoy it because it reminds me of the old MoHs, CoDs, and DoDs. Incredible soundtrack too.

Played a wee bit of campaign. Looks like it might be a bit short. If picking this title up for singleplayer only I recommend waiting for the price drop.

Played a fair bit. Haven't touched story, multiplayer is fun but after that honey moon period you start to notice some real balancing issues.

I've been playing BF1 for 50 hours now and I can say it's definitely more fun then BF4 and BF3. For me it feels like BF spirit is back like it was in BF2, 2142, but just in different way. Game runs incredibly smooth, maps are well designed (except a few) and visuals are pretty. SP have 6 different and not connected short campaigns what are quite great. We'll see if DICE implents offline mode like in SWBF which was neat.

Well for me, it is defenitely the best looking and most refreshing bf title since a long time, however, something i miss in it is longivity, also i guess its because im not used to these old type of weapons...
When i play it then mostly hardcore only boltactions and lmgs without any scopes, pure iron sights.

However for some reason dice made it extremley hard to have a chance with ironsighted boltactions in normal mode, even in hc aiming them is a pain sometimes and i had alot wtf moments not hiting anything for unknown reasons but well...

Ohh btw, merry christmas to all of you and a happy holiday season, been a while since i put some text here

Guys, new DLC called "They shall not pass" is out now for premium members. It adds french army, some weapons and one super-heavy tank "Char2c":

10 hours of Trial time on Origin at the moment. Thought it was just for Easter weekend but seems they decided to extend that.
