I have never seen this bug before.
I added a steyr_aug Pickup kit with a thumper on it. Any one who picks it up can fire the weapon normally with no adverse affect, but as soon as you switch to the Grenade Launcher you start slowly dieing. There is nothing you can do to stop it, you just watch your health drain away. I have friends who coop with me and the same thing happens to them. I have reviewed the Tweak file and see nothing out of the ordinary. Anyone have any Ideas???? -------------------- |

I found another weapon that causes this and it's not a pickup weapon, it's a loadout weapon. 2. It seems to happen only when your near a static fire. I.E. The second story window fire across from Hotel in Karkand. If I go under the archway and have this weapon accessed I start dieing. I change weapons and I stop dieing. This happens near any static fire. I'll try and reproduce this in SP and MP, and get back about it. NOTE: Yep, it does the same thing in SP & MP. This happens near any static fire. sounds like your dying from a supplyobject like the one the ambient fires uses to do damage. do any of those weapons use custom effects linked to those weapons including projectile effects have any template names with the same name as any of the ambient fire effect names? |

Your right on SatNav! The two objects ambstat_fire, and ambstat_civwreck_burning are causing it, however I can find no relationship in the two weapons or their projectiles to either supply object.
I did find a way to stop it from happening. In both ambstat_fire, and ambstat_civwreck_burning I just turned "ObjectTemplate.damageSpeed 10" to "ObjectTemplate.damageSpeed 0". Sucks but it's the only way I can stop it right now, unless you can find something. Thanks a bunch SatNav, I know we all can always count on you. -------------------- |

Sucks but it's the only way I can stop it right now, unless you can find something. there must be a coding typo or something in the setup of the pickup kit that is causing the problem. if you send me all the related files i could try and replicate the problem.i vaguely remember someone else having a similar problem awhile ago tho can't remember where. |
