I'm sure there was a thread for Far Cry 3 somewhere. Couldn't find it.

Where was that other thread ? Still looking.
Here's my review of FC3 - http://djbarney.wordpress.com/2013/01/03/f...3-next-gen-fps/ Went into it not really knowing that much about it apart from the screenshot of psycho-Vaas. Now I've got into it. This is a next gen FPS. I'm seeing concepts flying all over the place that other games up till no have only played with (pun?). Loving the vehicle handling, esp. the beach buggy. -------------------- |

after finishing the game storyline, i used a hack found in ubi's forums to reset the outposts and towers back to their initial 'unfriendly' state, so i can go back and wreak more havoc

Could be fun. Is there any way of making it more difficult as well ? Even on the highest difficulty setting I'm finding it a little too easy to defeat pirates although the animals have caught me out a few times. They don't seem very aggressive either, or intelligent, not as good as FC1 mercs as far as I remember them. Maybe its all the bad drugs Vaas pays them with? The original Far Cry 1 was much more difficult. There's just too much health lying around all over the place - plants and such. But the good parts of FC3 more than make up for these problems.

 I maybe a bit late but I just started playing Far Cry 1, Campaign mode. I went through the intro and am at the island. Trying to sneak past the 2 characters.  Then I got shot at.  Made it to the room with the communicator.  Got my gun.  And found the binoculars.

Continuation, I am trying out CryEngine's editor. Looks a lot like IDs' editor for DOOM3. Or even more identical, it is almost like using the Battlecraft editor.  Changed the viewport to below:

To bobthedinosaur, Yes. But I just can't get to finish the game. I reached as far as when you spawn in a motor life raft and head towards the island and you go up top to the ruins (secret compound). But then I was looking over the YouTube walkthrough and they have that TREE HOUSE level. I remember doing that.
