Version 1.0
-----------
- Initial Release
- Supports UI and Console/Batch usage

==================================================================
System Requirements

At this point, the program is quite optimized and runs extremely
fast for most people. It can merge 64 .tga files into one .tga
file much faster than you'll be able to load the merged file into
photoshop once its done!

Recommended Recommended:
1 Ghz CPU
256 Megabytes of RAM
Fast Harddrive
Microsoft .NET Framework

Operating Systems:
Any operating system that supports Microsoft DirectX 9
and .NET Framework is supported

A Quick Note about Textures
==================================================================

BF1942 uses textures that are stored in DirectX compressed .DDS
file format. IF you would like a tool that can batch convert
.dds -> .tga files, please check my webiste:

http://www.flashbots.co.uk/madbull/

Also, Texture files are merged in the following order:

|-------|-------|-------|-------|
| | | | |
| 00x03 | 01x03 | 02x03 | 03x03 |
| | | | |
|-------|-------|-------|-------|
| | | | |
| 00x02 | 01x02 | 02x02 | 03x02 |
| | | | |
|-------|-------|-------|-------|
| | | | |
| 00x01 | 01x01 | 02x01 | 03x01 |
| | | | |
|-------|-------|-------|-------|
| | | | |
| 00x00 | 01x00 | 02x00 | 03x00 |
| | | | |
|-------|-------|-------|-------|

How do I use this tool?
==================================================================

Merging your map's texture files into one large .tga file is
fairly easy. What you need to have are all of the .tga files
named exactly as bf1942 requires filenames, except in .tga format:

tx00x00.tga
tx00x01.tga
etc...

One you have these files, open up the tool, click browse next to
the source folder and select the directory where you have all of
the texture .tga files stored.

Next, you will need to select where the program should save the
merged .TGA file. Keep in mind that the more .tga files you are
merging, the larger the output filesize will be. Just click
browse next to the output file box and select where you want
to save the final .tga file.

Another key option is selecting the number of texture segments
you map contains. Here is an example of how to use this:

Say you have the following texture files:

tx00x00.tga
....
tx00x07.tga
....
tx07x07.tga

This means that you have an 8x8 segment merged .TGA file
so you should select 8 as the number of segments to merge.

The final option is the "Default BG Color". This is incase one
.tga file is missing from the texture (say you did not have
tx00x00.tga). If you don't have one or more files, the default
bg color will be used in place of that texture in the merged
file.

That's all, just hit "Merge" and watch that status bar fly!

CONSOLE PROGRAM USAGE:
Another feature this program supports is running conversions from
the dos command line. If you want to run batch conversions or be
able to do many steps using a .bat file, you can use the
following command-line format:

tgaMerge.exe "source directory" "output filename" segments

Be sure to place quotes around the source directory and the output
filename if they contain spaces in the path. "segments" is the
number of segments to merge together, and should be a value
between 1 and 16.

Final Notes
==================================================================

I have to say that if this tool erases your harddrive, deletes
your textures, blows up your computer or causes sleep deprivation:

I CAN NOT AND WILL NOT HELP YOU AND I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE

Now, having said that, I don't think any of that will happen
besides possibly sleep deprivation, but you gotta watch out for
yourself these days...
