How to use BFSP to convert pathmaps.

This will explain how to convert Pathmaps into textures for use with Editor 42 using the Battlefield Single Player program (BFSP).

If BFSP is not opened then follow steps 1 & 2, else goto step 3.

Step 1

After starting BFSP program, select File -> Open Map for Editing as such:

Then browse to the map folder that you want to work on:

Then you will be in the main Edit screeen. This is where you will convert Pathmaps into Ed42 textures.

Step 4

Next, to convert your pathmaps into Ed42 Textures, select the pathmap that you want to edit from the central window and then select the browse button from to the right of the Create World Texture button and browse to the texture folder of the map in the bfdev folder as shown:

Which will bring up the selection window. Now choose the Textures folder of the map in you ED42's bfdev folder as shown:

Now, click on the Create Wold Texture button as shown:


Then select the Create World Texture button and this screen will pop up:


This is a chance to double check that this is really what you wanted to do. Select Continue and you will see the a black window showing the conversion in action:


After if completes, start up the map in Ed42 and check out your texture converted pathmaps.
